Overview

Support the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer in implementing and driving the diversity and inclusion vision, strategy and programs to advance the USTA’s Strategic Priorities and D&I goals. The position will work to strengthen the USTA’s reputation and affinity for tennis across all communities and demographics, and help advance the organization’s efforts to build a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce and sport. 

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies and programs aimed at creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive culture for USTA staff and volunteers.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on DEI practices and lead strategic initiatives, with an emphasis on talent acquisition, development and retention, inclusion training and education, supplier diversity, inclusive leadership, and workplace culture.
  • Develop, track and analyze DEI metrics on an established schedule to measure progress and effectiveness of the diversity and inclusion strategy.
  • Partner with business leaders across the USTA to ensure the D&I mission and goals are built into business plans and increase accountability for DEI outcomes.
  • Partner with the USTA’s 17 Sections and volunteer committees to develop and support their diversity and inclusion initiatives, and engage them in advancing the National D&I strategy.

Qualifications

  • A highly-versatile professional, with a minimum of 7-10 years’ work experience
  • Strong background in strategy development and execution, ideally focused in diversity & inclusion or human resources.
  • Experience managing projects with cross-functional teams across geographies and departments
  • Thorough understanding of the strategic business case for diversity & inclusion at the USTA.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle numerous projects at any given time, and deliver outstanding finished product in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, organizational development, marketing, communications or related field.
  • Ability to speak more than one language, a plus.
  •  Proof of covid vaccination required
