Recruit for exempt and non-exempt positions for the USTA National Office. Assist with training and onboarding of all new hires in White Plains, NY to ensure our organization attracts, hires, and retains the best employees while growing a strong talent pipeline. 


  • Oversee all exempt, and non-exempt recruitment activities for the USTA White Plains office by working with department Directors/Managers to identify and define new hire requirements. Serve as the point person for WP senior hires via headhunting firms.
  • Emphasis on diversity recruiting utilizing job boards, social media, local schools, job fairs, agencies, etc. Develop new avenues for recruitment that positively affect the diverse candidate pool for all positions. Track continued progress and provide an accurate and timely monthly report to Sr. Manager, HR.
  • Analyze the information provided on a prospective employee's application, conduct a personal interview, and conduct reference checks. Determine the applicant's suitability for employment considering previous experience, education, etc.
  • Responsible for all the USTA White Plains office internal and external job postings in the ICIMS system.
  • Maintain new hire paperwork in ICIMS and works with the Administrative Assistant/ Junior HR Generalist to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Works with Administrative Assistant/ Junior HR Generalist (as backup) to conduct background checks on all White Plains new hires and reports results to the Sr. Manager, HR.
  • Working with the entire HR team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all payroll processing for White Plains employees.
  • Ensure job descriptions are current and updated when filling vacant or newly created positions and update all position descriptions with department managers and supervisors annually.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and overseeing a formal Onboarding program for all full-time White Plains new hires.
  • Work with Legal Counsel and Managing Director, HR to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Such as ACA compliance, NYS wage form distribution, etc.
  • Collaborate with the D&I Manager on the USTA Internship Program sponsored by D&I for the White Plains staff.
  • Provide assistance as needed to HR staff at NTC in the areas of recruiting, staffing, and onboarding for full-time and US Open positions.
  • Provide regular reports regarding EEOC tracking to the Sr. Manager, HR


  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the recruitment field actively placing applicants for both exempt and non-exempt positions. Sports or entertainment preferred
  • Excellent leadership skills with a philosophy of creating a culture that fosters a strong team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work at a high level and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organization and administrative skills are necessary for success.
  • A proven track record of developing strong relationships with all levels of management.
  • Must have intricate knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP and ICIMS a plus)
  • Position is located in White Plains, New York. Must be willing to work in a "hybrid/flex" environment which will require both on-site and remote work as designated by USTA, and may be updated from time to time.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus
