The Role

The Senior Manager, Campaign Development is a client relations & marketing professional responsible for helping the USTA Foundation launch & promote fundraising campaigns.

  • Leading the annual engagement plan & day to day operations of the USTA Foundation’s American Champions Campaign
  • Focusing on donor stewardship, cultivation, and identification for all 7-figure campaign prospects and contributors
  • Thoughtfully & strategically welcoming new supporters & celebrity ambassadors into the USTA Foundation & Player Development family
  • Developing a robust campaign dashboard for internal and external distribution, tracking, trend analysis & storytelling
  • In collaboration with Player Development, providing regular updates on the US Tennis talent pipeline & areas of financial need
  • Ideating & assisting in the implementation of regional cultivation and stewardship events, especially around major tennis tournaments and at the USTA National Campus
  • In conjunction with others members of the USTA Foundation team lead the roll-out and 360 marketing plan for the launch of the American Champions Campaign
  • Develop an annual plan for each campaign prospect and donor and lead the creation of unique engagement plans
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Player Development & USTA Foundation collaborative efforts
  • Develop strategies & processes around wealth research that inform Campaign targets
  • Create and regularly update Campaign marketing materials, sell sheets, impact reports, and “surprise and delight” stewardship touches that exist within the Campaign toolkit
  • Responsible for recording & updating all Campaign donors & prospects within Salesforce
  • Engage in prospect research, develop strategies, prepare Campaign proposals and materials including written documentation for accurate gift recording, and acknowledgments
  • Serve as Campaign “subject matter expert” for all USTAF & USTA Player Development colleagues
  • Use Salesforce to develop Campaign reports & a robust dashboard
  • Serve as USTA Foundation ambassador at USTA National Campus events throughout the year 

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales with a track record of success in developing strong donor or client relationships. 
  • Knowledge of / background with professional & top junior tennis is strongly preferred Must be confident about working with high net worth and high profile individuals and families.
  • Background in fundraising or marketing techniques, stewardship, and promotions.
  • Background in new-product development and marketing.
  • Exhibits an entrepreneurial & collaborative spirit. 
  • Ability to successfully navigate relationships in a highly political environment. 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and careful attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communicator (written, verbal and interpersonal skills), solution-oriented and creative thinker. 
  • Excellent computer and research skills, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Workplace, & Salesforce.
  • Ability to achieve common goals independently and as a team member.
  • Knowledge of / background with professional & top junior tennis is strongly preferred.
  • Position is considered exempt. 
  • The role is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work. Adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements is essential, with periodic updates from HR informing the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $80,000 – 94,000.   This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
