The Role

The Manager, Youth Pathway will promote and grow tennis through Youth Pathway initiatives

  • Contribute to the implementation of the Community Tennis strategic plan
  • Execute Youth Pathway strategies and programs including, but not limited to, Youth Team League pilots, USTA Team Challenge, red ball USTA Junior Team Tennis, and other beginner youth tennis programs throughout the United States
  • Work closely with Committees under the Youth Pathway Council including Local Play & Competition and Schools/After Schools
  • Support USTA Sectional Associations on Youth Pathway strategies as requested.
  • Actively engage with internal USTA Departments including, but not limited to, Digital, Marketing, Collegiate, Sales, Facilities and Adult Social Play
  • Provide onsite support and leadership for Youth Pathway activations and programs
  • Attend various meetings and conferences to promote and educate players and providers on Youth Pathway programs and initiatives
  • Manage and track reports related to Youth Pathway programs and initiatives
  • Attend and participate in internal department and USTA meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Youth Pathway and Director, Youth Pathway & Schools
  • Compile and generate statistical reports on program activities (TC, JTT, JC, Play Tracker, Jr Tournaments, etc.). Maintain accuracy of group databases, distribution lists, and websites.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the tennis or sports industry,
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite & G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Adobe Photoshop, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom & Google Meet.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the ability to learn & manipulate new programs and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in coordination, organization, and data management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interpersonal & organizational skills - clear, friendly written and verbal communicator with extreme attention to detailThe role is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work. Adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements is essential, with periodic updates from HR informing the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.   This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
