The Role

 

The Senior Manager, Adult Social Play will  lead and oversee Adult Social Play programs and initiatives

  • Contribute to the implementation of the Community Tennis strategic plan and Play & Competition Department overall vision and strategy as it relates to Adult Social Play
  • Manage and Lead Adult Social Play strategies and programs including, but not limited to, Adult Red Ball and Cardio Tennis throughout the United States
  • Provide direction, support and supervision for USTA Manger, Adult Social Play including required personnel reviews
  • Collaborate with Committees under the Adult Council including Adult Competition, USTA League, and Tennis on Campus
  • Develop strategies and partner with USTA Sectional Associations on Adult Social Play strategies as requested.
  • Work closely with the Marketing, Digital, Sales, Facilities and Collegiate Departments to increase engagement, communication, and promotion with USTA League and tournament providers and participants.
  • Provide overall budgetary supervision for Adult Social Play
  • Serve as a USTA spokesperson as needed for Adult Social Play
  • Foster positive relationships with various related organizations, including, but not limited to USPTA, PTR, and other industry organizations
  • Support various Adult Competition events as assigned by the Director, Adult Competition

Who You Are

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the tennis or sports industry,
  • Minimum 2 years in a management or leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite & G-Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms), Adobe Photoshop, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom & Google Meet.
  • Proven track record of success working in team environment
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess the ability to learn, manipulate, and teach new programs and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in coordination, organization, and data management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interpersonal & organizational skills - clear, friendly written and verbal communicator with extreme attention to detail.
  • The role is designated as "hybrid/flex," allowing for both remote and on-site work. Adherence to current USTA hybrid/flex requirements is essential, with periodic updates from HR informing the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $75,000 – 86,000.   This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
