The Role

Develop and launch compelling products to support membership programs for tennis players, providers, and facility operators. This person will collaborate across the organization to find opportunities to improve existing offerings, lead the recruitment of new membership program partners and increase engagement in key products and services. This role is critical to contributing to player participation and retention, coach quantity, diversity, and facility court retention and utilization..

  • Implement the National membership product and service strategy in alignment with Membership and USTA goals; identify member needs, assess solutions, design and build; maintain roadmap and backlog of enhancements
  • Plan and implement new product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies, engaging with operating partners and collaborating with Marketing on supporting campaigns
  • Partner with Director, Membership in developing the product strategy across the three distinct strategic pillars: Player/Fan, Coach/Provider, and Facility; ensuring each pillar serves its unique audience effectively
  • Collaborate with Manager, Customer Engagement Programs to synthesize member feedback and produce business cases for new member services and products
  • Collaborate with Digital, Play and Competition, Coaching, Facilities and Section partners to advocate for membership focused enhancements to core USTA products; represent Membership point of view and voice of the customer in cross-functional initiatives
  • Identify membership-enhancing partnership opportunities in collaboration with the USTA Partnerships Council; maintain linkage to Sections and across the USTA National organization to improve existing and prospective USTA relationships
  • Maintain partnerships with Marketing at the national and local levels to continuously drive adoption of membership products in portfolio through cyclical campaigns and promotions
  • Work with Analytics to ensure efficient data capture and reporting to support decision-making and personalization within product experiences; support Research and Insights in creating product insights and feedback structure and cadence
  • Develop initiatives that encourage members to invest in additional products and services.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • Three plus years of Product Management/Partnerships/Customer Loyalty experience
  • Experience with needs-based product/service development leading to building and implementing customer solutions
  • Consistent track record of successfully making business cases for new products, services or investments
  • Experience in developing and managing customer loyalty program partnerships strongly desired
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work effectively with technical teams and partners
  • Strong team player, Cross-functional management, strong partnership skills, and experience working with various functional teams/partners in a matrix environment
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $65,000 - 75,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
