The Role 

 

to support our clients and employees in difficult computer software, program and peripheral issues that hinder our clients and employees from their daily business.  This position will also be responsible for ongoing and new projects related to computer issues, hardware and software upgrades and evaluating new technologies

 

  • The Desktop Analyst will be responsible for daily support of desktops, laptops, hardware and software for clients.
  • The Analyst will be assigned computer software, system, and hardware problems that may be escalated from the Help Desk which require an onsite user consultation and technical analysis to determine potential modifications and solutions.
  • The analyst will support software applications and end user productivity tools to maximize effectiveness of these tools.
  • Must possess good problem solving skills and be able to evaluate computer systems, software and hardware conditions quickly leading to fast and accurate resolutions.
  • Assist with wireless connectivity issues for both staff and guests as needed.
  • Assist with any telco related issues that may arise.
  • This position will be heavily involved in the evaluation, selection and installation of new computer hardware, software and peripherals.
  • The Desktop Analyst will work closely with the IT Manager, Desktop Analysts and Senior Desktop Analysts, and other PC Support staff to provide support as required to ensure timely resolution of end client issues.
  • Troubleshoot wireless APs located in the outside areas of the campus.
  • Be able to climb ladders up to 15 ft and carry equipment and boxes up to 40 lbs

Who You Are

  • Preferred educational should include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience with desktop support.
  • The Desktop Analyst must have a thorough knowledge of computer systems, hardware, operating systems, and software., including: Windows 7/8/10, MS Office 2010/2013/2016.
  • Mac OS and MS Office for Mac.
  • Cloud technologies (Google for Work, One Drive for Business, Azure). Mobile technologies (IOS and Android). 
  • Familiarity with networking is a plus
  • Personal traits should include having excellent judgment and the ability to work towards a resolution with clients even under stressful conditions.
  • Must possess good communication skills and the ability to conduct training classes for users.
  • Be able to work in a high profile and fast environment

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $50,000 – $60,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
