We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.
Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM EST
Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus - Orlando
Hourly rate: $16.00
The Industry & Sales Intern will play a key support role in the operations and communication efforts of the USTA Industry & Sales team. The intern will assist in coordinating events, and ensuring that our Industry Partners receive timely communication and support. The position offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in event planning, marketing, and client relations.
- Assist with communications and onboarding of both new and current Industry Partners
- Help ensure partner deadlines are met and kept informed on program requirements.
- Support the Industry & Sales Team in planning logistics for industry events including coordinating travel (hotels, flights), meals, giveaways, and communication with C-Suite executives and partners.
- Assist the sales team in organizing our industry roadshows, and support the launch of our new initiatives
- Coordinate with section contacts, event locations, and ambassadors to ensure smooth operations.
Who You Are
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with industry partners, clients, and team members effectively.
- Ability to craft professional emails and marketing materials.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage deadlines and logistics for events.
- Experience coordinating schedules, travel arrangements, and event planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable liaising with executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing small projects or assisting with event coordination.
- Familiarity with creating timelines and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools or event management platforms is a plus.
- Previous experience or demonstrated aptitude in client or partner relations.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional service to partners and stakeholders.
- Passion for or interest in the sports industry, particularly tennis, is a bonus.
- Willingness to learn about the operations and marketing of sports events and partnerships.
