Who We Are

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus - Orlando.

Hourly rate: $16.00

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work within the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) team, supporting internal communications, social media initiatives, and employee branding efforts. The intern will play a key role in crafting content for the USTA’s Intranet and employee-facing communications, while also contributing to DEI-focused social media campaigns. Additionally, the intern will have the chance to assist with various DEI projects, gaining valuable experience in both strategic and creative aspects of DEI work within an organization.

  • Write and curate engaging content for the USTA Intranet and internal communications platforms, focusing on DEI topics.
  • Assist in the development and execution of DEI-themed social media campaigns, including creating posts, graphics, and other digital content.
  • Support the DEI team with special projects, including research, event planning, and communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DEI initiatives are aligned with the organization’s overall mission and goals.
  • Contribute to the creation of employee-facing materials, such as newsletters, presentations, and resource guides on DEI topics.
  • Monitor and track the performance of DEI-related social media campaigns and help analyze engagement data to inform future content strategies.

Who You Are

  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • A strong interest in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and a passion for fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and content creation (e.g., graphics, writing, video).
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design, especially in the context of social media content.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of DEI principles and current trends is a plus, but not required.
