The Role

 

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for initiating, budgeting, scheduling, overseeing and verifying completion of multidisciplinary construction projects throughout the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center campus, ensuring the NTC remains a premier destination for tennis enthusiasts, fans and professionals.

 

  • Provide advanced level construction management of small to medium sized projects with emphasis on multidisciplinary trades including but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, waterproofing, fire alarm systems, structural and architectural interiors.
  • Regularly document and report on multiple project progress including field coordination, scheduling,value engineering, budget-cost reporting & change management.
  • Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures via applicable asset and/or facility management software.
  • Maintain records of status for all facility projects and confirm that all necessary permits and licenses are secured.
  • Independently initiate and administer multiple RFP’s including associated bid administration and contract negotiation.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants,contractors, sub-contractors and USTA staff
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all sub-teams.
  • Confirm project closeout to the satisfaction of the USTA and project documents.
  • Maintain facility as- built record documents and samples.
  • Conduct regular safety inspection and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Other duties as assigned by Managing Director of Capital Projects & Engineering

 

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in construction management, preferably in public facilities or large-scale venues.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety practices and compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Building and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as WebTMA, Revit, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • Be available to work overnight shifts as needed and provide on-site support during the US Open.
  • This role is based on-site at the National Tennis Center

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. This position is exempt.

This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify.  The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
