The Role

The Sr. Manager, Content & Education plays a pivotal role in curating and delivering high-quality educational experiences that bring the USTA Coaching Philosophy to life. Focused on empowering coaches and parents across all experience levels and contexts, this position ensures that every learning interaction supports the delivery of fun, developmentally appropriate, and player-centered tennis experiences

Content Curation & Education Strategy

  • Curate, organize, and maintain a robust library of coach and parent education content tailored to varying levels of experience, roles, and tennis environments.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), coaches, and educational leaders to co-design content aligned with USTA’s Coaching Philosophy and core competencies (e.g., connection, confidence, competence, character, creativity).
  • Translate learning objectives into meaningful learning materials including videos, short courses, interactive modules, and downloadable resources.
  • Ensure content reflects USTA’s athlete-centered approach, emphasizing enjoyment, skill development, and inclusive environments.
  • Regularly evaluate and refine the education portfolio based on emerging needs, trends, and learner feedback.

 

Collaboration & Program Alignment

  • Align content development with national and section-level coach development initiatives, Net Generation tools, and ADM-aligned programming.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support campaigns, events, or new programming with targeted education content.
  • Ensure that all educational assets reinforce USTA’s long-term player development philosophy and principles of developmentally appropriate coaching.

 

LMS Support

  • Upload, configure, and maintain educational assets—including badges, short courses, assessments, and resources—ensuring accuracy, consistency, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with content developers and instructional designers to structure and sequence learning paths that support coach and parent progression aligned with USTA Coaching Philosophy.
  • Provide timely technical and instructional support to LMS users, troubleshooting login issues, content access problems, and navigation challenges.
  • Monitor platform performance and learner activity; track usage metrics, course completions, and engagement data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Travel Demands:

  • Several days per month as required.
  • USTA Meetings: Staff Training, Coach and Parent Developer development 
  • All travel must be approved by the Director of Curriculum Development & Classifications in advance.

 

 

Who You Are

 

  • Bachelor's degree in User Experience, Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a user experience-related role.
  • Experience with content curation, editing, and writing.
  • Strong understanding of the tennis ecosystem (players, coaches, parents, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and technologies relevant to content creation and management, and online learning platforms.
  • Ability to apply a social work lens to understand and address the needs of tennis families.
  • Experienced presenter/outreach to community groups and teaching professionals
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Initiative and persistence in completing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to appreciate and optimize volunteer heritage and resources and apply professional experience within a not-for-profit organization.
  • The position is considered exempt.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $75,000 - $88,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify.  The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
