The Role

Responsible for developing and managing key digital community initiatives, including the coach job board, discussion forums, webinars, coach developer office hours, and collaboration with social media to enhance engagement on social community pages. The ideal candidate is a digitally savvy advocate for coaches, possesses strong organizational and communication skills, and has a proven track record of building successful online communities

 

Coach Job Board Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the USTA Coaching Job Board, ensuring its functionality and user-friendliness.
  • In collaboration with Sr. Director of Tennis Industry Outreach & Engagement, develop and implement strategies for facility and Section adoption and usage of job board.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract both job seekers and employers to the platform.
  • Monitor job postings for accuracy and relevance, and ensure compliance with USTA standards.
  • Provide timely and effective support to users regarding job board inquiries and issues.
  • Analyze job board data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with digital team members on required updates and issues.

Community Discussion Board Management:

  • Manage and moderate the USTA Coaching online discussion board, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
  • Encourage active participation and facilitate meaningful discussions among coaches.
  • Develop and implement content strategies to stimulate conversation and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor discussions for inappropriate content and ensure adherence to community guidelines.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide timely support to forum users.

Webinar Development and Management:

  • In collaboration with the Education department, plan, develop, and execute engaging and informative webinars for USTA coaches.
  • Identify relevant topics and secure expert speakers for webinars.
  • Manage webinar logistics, including scheduling, promotion, and technical setup.
  • Moderate webinars and facilitate Q&A sessions.
  • Analyze webinar data to track attendance and engagement, and make recommendations for improvement.

Social Media Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the USTA Social Media team to develop and implement strategies for engaging coaches on social community pages.
  • Provide content and insights related to the digital coach community to enhance social media presence.
  • Monitor social media conversations and respond to inquiries and comments.
  • Analyze social media metrics to track engagement and identify opportunities for growth.

Digital Community Development and Engagement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and engage the USTA Coaching digital community.
  • Utilize various digital platforms and tools to enhance community engagement.
  • Analyze community data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in digital community management.

Who You Are

  • Experience in digital marketing, communications, marketing, education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Proven track record of building and engaging online communities.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Experience with webinar platforms and online meeting tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for tennis and a commitment to supporting coaches.  
  • Strong team player, Cross-functional management, strong partnership skills, and experience working with various functional teams/stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $55,000 - $68,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
