The Role


As the Adult League Coordinator, Mid-Hudson and portions in New Jersey (ALC), you’ll play a critical role in delivering League tennis in these regions. Direct, coordinate and promote USTA Adult, Mixed,
and Other League programs in the region. You will plan, manage, and perform all administrative tasks needed for the operation of the program in Mid-Hudson and New Jersey, including but not
limited to:

  • Set up and coordinate USTA League Tennis in the regions with the purpose of maximizing the number
    of league players and facilities.
  • Host information meetings and captains’ meetings before the start of the league season.
  • Provide excellent customer service via phone and email in a timely and professional manner to captains, players, club managers, and volunteers.
  • Understand, interpret, and update the Local League Area Rules. Be knowledgeable about USTA National and Sectional League Regulations.
  • Possess a full understanding of TennisLink and be able to create schedules for all leagues, including playoffs and championships in the system.
  • Identify and resolve local league issues while keeping the staff advised of decisions.
  • Administer local grievances and appeals.
  • Serve as tournament director and conduct Regionals according to USTA guidelines.
  • Collect and submit league expenses into the Concur accounting system.
  • Track League participation within your geographic region/s and initiate growth strategies.
  • Monitor and assist the Find a league and Find a team inquiries.
  • Support the NTRP Computer Rating Program and its procedures.
  • Maintain and observe the following reports: Unreported Scores Report, Team Captain Email Report, Duplicate Players Report, and more.
  • Create and maintain content for your regions; i.e call for captains, event dates/locations, contracts, award and equipment needs, sportsmanship, captain recognition, and more using shared Google Drive folders and ClaritySoft.
  • Attend and assist at various Adult League Sectional Championships and other Eastern Section events.
  • Other duties as assigned and approved by the Director, Adult Competition.

  • Technologically proficient with proven understanding of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and
    data tools.
  • A standout colleague who can also work independently.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work weekends as needed.
  • League Tennis knowledge and experience are required.
  • Must be available for travel and pass USTA National Safe Play and USTA Eastern Section background checks.

What We Offer 

 

The expected starting salary for this position is $64,350. This does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several
variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.

 

Working Conditions: Full-time. Work from home, with some office requirements, and some nights and weekends.
