The Role:

Assist the Director, Competition Pathway in supporting the department by developing and implementing rules, regulations, and strategies at USTA Junior Tournaments.

  • Support for Director, Competition Pathway, through the following:
  • Perform check requests
  • Process tournament evaluation forms
  • Administer National and Section tournament updates / reports
  • Liaise with tournament organizers / providers / Section Competition Staff
  • Support special national events and Orange Bowl 
  • Provide admin support for Junior Tournaments staff
  • Administer the national database of player suspensions
  • Provide Customer Service to the junior tennis constituency by answering questions about junior tournaments
  • Support the National Junior Competition Committee with carrying out their charge and mission

Who You Are

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in tennis industry or similar business
  • Knowledge and experience working at USTA National or Section offices, preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability in project management and administration
  • Strong strategic thinker and self-starter 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills As a condition of employment, all USTA employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Individual requests for medical or religious exemptions to the immunization mandate will be considered by USTA and must be submitted to Human Resources.
  • Experience and background in Tennis, and understanding of various aspects – and organizations in the sport
  • This position is Orlando office specific and is designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work.  Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements, as updated from time to time

The expected range for the base salary for this position is 45,000 - 48,000 and overtime eligible. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
