The Role
The Finance & Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting, and data analysis while supporting key business areas, including USTA Coaching, USA Tennis, Play & Participation, the USTA National Campus, and Facilities. Working closely with finance leaders, the intern will assist with budget projections, revenue modeling, financial reporting, and operational analysis that help drive informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Support the annual budget planning and projection process for USTA Coaching, USA Tennis, Play & Participation, the National Campus, and Facilities. 

  • Conduct Serve Tennis revenue analysis by business line and assist in building a pricing model to identify break-even scenarios. 

  • Partner with the Fulfillment Operations team to analyze inventory data, cost allocations, and process efficiencies. 

  • Evaluate the financial impact of Community Tennis grants and participation initiatives, developing ROI reports and dashboards.

Program details:

  • 8-week program from June 9 through August 11

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET

  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Orlando office.

  • Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Who You Are

  • Basic understanding of GAAP principles and interest in expanding financial and accounting knowledge

  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end processes

  • Quick learner with intellectual curiosity and a desire to work across both transactional accounting and strategic financial analysis

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, working independently, and proactively asking questions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
