We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role
The Officiating Department certifies, manages, educates, and supports more than 2,600 community and professional tennis officials across the United States.The Officiating Intern will work on a range of research and operational projects designed to help strengthen communication strategies and enhance compliance and recertification processes for officials nationwide.
Conduct research to evaluate and strengthen communication strategies related to certification, compliance, and recertification requirements
Analyze engagement and program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Develop recommendations for automating or streamlining existing officiating workflows
Support staff in enhancing the delivery of Town Halls, educational assets, and certification resources
Assist in updating, organizing, and improving DE&I-related content and materials for officials
Help draft presentations and reports summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accessibility across communication channels
Participate in meetings and contribute ideas that support more inclusive and effective officiating experiences
Program details:
8-week program from June 9 through August 11
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET
Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Orlando office.
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Who You Are
Skilled in data analysis and comfortable interpreting insights
Interested in strategic planning and process improvement
Strong presentation and communication abilities
Proficient in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to meaningful operational enhancements
Collaborative, curious, and motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment
